Get the $199 opinion

Second opinion · $199 · fixed

A written second opinion on your China treatment plan

Send your records. A partner specialist who practises at a Grade 3A hospital in the Pearl River Delta reviews them and answers, in writing, every question on your list. Five to eight business days after your records are complete: up to five to line up the right physician, then up to three for the written opinion.

What lands in your inbox

Not a phone call and a verbal impression. A document you can read twice, and take to your own doctor.

Everything is bilingual. Your records go in translated into Chinese for the specialist; the opinion comes back translated into yours. Both are included in the $199.

You ask. We also ask.

Most people do not know what to ask a specialist on another continent. So two things happen.

1 · Your own questions

Write them down when you send your records — as many as you actually have, in your own words. Clinical questions go to the specialist and are answered in order; everything else we answer ourselves. You do not need to phrase them clinically.

2 · Four we always ask

Whether you think to ask them or not. These four decide whether the trip is worth making, so we do not leave them to chance.

What is this condition, most likely?

Not a diagnosis with a seal — the specialist's reading of what your records most likely show.

How is it usually treated in China?

The standard pathway here, and where it differs from what you have been offered at home.

How long would it take?

Work-up plus treatment, in realistic weeks — not a best case.

What would it cost?

A medical cost range. Flights, hotels and living costs are separate and you pay providers directly.

These four are included in the $199 — they are not an extra.

What it is not

A written review has limits. We would rather name them now than argue about them later.

Not a replacement for an examination

The specialist will tell you what the condition most likely is, based on your records. But a written review cannot replace an in-person examination, a scan done on the day, or a biopsy.

Not a hospital consultation

This is the specialist's personal opinion, not a hospital review. The hospital has not examined your case as an institution, and the document carries no hospital seal. If you need an official hospital second opinion, tell us — it is a different, longer process.

Not an appointment

No hospital slot is booked as part of the $199. If you decide to travel, booking is a separate service.

Not a guarantee of acceptance

No hospital promises to accept a patient before seeing them. Neither can we.

Not a sales call

The document is yours whether you travel or not. If we think you should not come, the opinion will say that.

What to send

The quality of the opinion depends on what we can put in front of the specialist. This list is the difference between a useful answer and a polite one.

Essential

  • Imaging — DICOM files or the disc, not only the printed report
  • Written reports, pathology and lab results
  • Treatment history: regimen, cycles, dates, response
  • Medication list with doses

Helps a lot

  • The treatment plan you were given, in the original wording
  • Recent bloods and tumour markers
  • Your questions, numbered
  • Your country and language, so the answer is written for your context

The whole cost of the opinion — and a credit if you come

This $199 is the whole cost of the written opinion — no add-on, no surcharge, nothing else to pay us for it. If you later come for treatment and use our coordination service, the $199 comes off that fee in full. If you arrange everything yourself, you keep the opinion and owe us nothing more.

No commission from any hospital. If we cannot match your case to a suitable Grade 3A hospital department within five business days, the $199 is refunded in full.

Questions people ask

Who actually writes the opinion?
A partner specialist who practises at a Grade 3A hospital in the Pearl River Delta — deliberately not one of the seventeen busiest pilot hospitals. Those hospitals are where treatment happens; the review is done outside them so the answer is not shaped by a queue. We prepare the records, place the case, and translate the result; we do not write the clinical view.
Is $199 the whole cost?
$199 covers the opinion and the translation both ways — your records into Chinese, the opinion back into yours. Everything else is billed by the hospital, at hospital prices: tests, procedures, medication, bed days. The registration fee (¥800–1,800) is the one charge we collect on the hospital's behalf — prepaid, passed on at cost, no margin.
What if my records are not complete?
We tell you within one business day. The five-day clock starts only when the file is complete — so the sooner you send the missing pieces, the sooner it finishes.
Can I add questions later?
List everything you want answered when you send the file. After delivery, a short clarification by email is fine; a new clinical question is a new review.
What language is it in?
English, with the Chinese original attached where the specialist wrote one. Medical documents from the hospital are issued in Chinese only.
Do I need to travel to China?
Not for the review. A Chinese specialist reviews your records first and gives a written judgment. If treatment is the right next step, it is arranged at a leading Grade 3A hospital in Guangzhou — so you know why you are flying before you book anything.
What if you cannot match my case?
We refund the $199 in full — if we cannot match you to a suitable Grade 3A hospital department within five business days of payment.
Is this a diagnosis?
Not in the clinical sense. The specialist will tell you what the condition most likely is, based on your records. A firm diagnosis needs an examination, and usually a biopsy, in person.
